  3. New Member Invitations
    1. Invitations go out the week of 10/25/09
    2. Orientation meeting on 10/29/09 (Building 200 Room 104) 5-6 p.m.
    3. Last day to register if they want to have election right this quarter is 11/9.  Otherwise, last day to register this quarter for PTK is 11/24/09.

    2. Video platforms will be recorded at next member meeting and put on the website, to make it easier for those who can’t attend the meeting, to be informed.
    3. Submit written statement or video by midnight 11/10/09.
    4. Come to 11/10/09 member meeting to have video made, or watch
    5. RSVP if you plan on running for officer
    6. Keep videos to 3 minutes
    7. Written statement as concise as possible, email to Kristen or Pam with a picture for the Web site
    8. Videos will be posted to our site by 11/13/09
    9. Only PTK members can vote
    10. Voting ends 11/20/09 @ midnight
    11. Officers announcements should go out by 11/24/09, with inductions the week of December 3rd
  5. Service Projects
    1. Thanks for those who participated in the Gwinnett Great Day of Service
    2. Exploring
      1. Bioscience post has begun, with Pam as the advisor. Email her with any questions
      2. IT post has begun, with Kristen as the advisor.  Email her with any questions
      3. Feel free to email us with questions involving starting another post in your major department
    3. Toys for Tots
      1. We are going to be working with member Ernestine Davis in connection with Toys for Tots to set up an event at the school.  We are looking into what kind of permission we need from the school, and if things are approved we will move forward
    4. Adopt-a-Highway
      1. Research is done.  If anyone is interested in doing this or heading a committee, let an officer/advisor know
  6. Fundraising
    1. Book Drives for Better Lives
      1. Raises money for literacy, diverts books from landfills by getting them to readers worldwide.  Creates jobs and a portion of the proceeds would go to our Chapter
      2. Anyone interested in joining a committee for the Book Drives for Better Lives should contact Dragana
  7. Induction
    1. Ceremony tentatively planned for the first week in December
